Movie product placement is a regular play from Audi. Though more known nowadays for its participation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the tradition goes back much further. So, when you consider the RSQ e-tron for the upcoming animated Spies in Disguise, it’s crazy to think it’s the second time a made-for-movie-only model named RSQ came to pass not just for a film, but specifically for a Will Smith movie.
The first of course was the Audi RSQ of iRobot. This time around, it’s an animated only version of the car, and notably branded e-tron. Obviously, it’s a lot easier to create a concept car for an animated film, but it’s interesting to consider how much this RSQ could hint at the future of the Audi R8 model line. After all, the first iRobot RSQ hinted strongly at the first-generation R8.
